Birdies, bogeys, and big wins at the 2025 EC Spring Golf Outing

The spirit of friendly competition and strong community ties were in full swing on Monday, May 20 at the annual EC Golf Outing held at Wild Turkey Golf Club in Hamburg. Despite some challenging winds throughout the day, the sun was out for our sold-out crowd of 128 golfers. Alongside the generous support of 50 sponsors, the golf tournament raised over $85,000! The event was a hole-in-one success!

All proceeds will go toward a significant project: repainting and replacing the bleachers in the high school gym. These much-needed upgrades will enhance a wide range of school activities—from daily gym and health classes to athletic events like basketball and volleyball games, school ceremonies such as graduation, and so much more.

The day kicked off with a putting contest and lunch before participants headed out for the scramble-style tournament. Excitement peaked at Hole #14, where the annual “Beat the EC Golf Team Member” challenge returned. Seniors Joe DeLuccia and Ethan Nashold stepped up to the tee, giving golfers a fun challenge and a chance to test their skills against the school’s best.
As the sun set on a beautiful day, participants gathered under the tent for a delicious buffet dinner, prizes, and celebration of the day’s top performers.
